A Boy and his Bunny & A Girl and her Gator by Sean Bryan

How would you feel if one morning you woke up with a big-eared, wet-nosed bunny on your head?Would you be surprised?
Claire—the sister of the “boy who one day woke up with a bunny on his head”—discovers that she too has a strange new condition: When she looks in the mirror, there is a gator in her hair! What is she to do? Panic? Run to Mother? Or, like her brother, learn to enjoy her new friend?

Rainbow Trucks by Roger Priddy

Bright colors, flaps to lift, and critters to find all combine to make this an ideal read-aloud.

I SPY Display

This is a section of my I SPY display. Below are the rhyme riddles to go with the display.

Use your mind, use your eye;
read the riddles – play I SPY!

I spy a library card, some animals that bark;
A little steel tub, and more than one shark.

I spy a cat, a lion, a Lego car;
A yellow bus, and colored pompoms in a jar.

I spy a snake that is big, a pig that is tiny;
An alien that is green, and a fish that is shiny.

I spy four clothes pins, a plastic crown;
A shushing librarian, and mouse that is brown.

I spy the red letter ‘A’, a helicopter that’s blue;
Two shiny stars, and a cow that says, MOO!
